Annual Training Camp

Hamai Group Training Camp

Held once a year, the training camp brings together members from branches across Japan and is one of the most important events of the Hamai Group. As an occasion to inherit the training practiced during the lifetime of Sosai Masutatsu Oyama, together with stories from that era, participants devote themselves to two days of training centered on kihon (basics) and kata.

Day 1

Training centered on warm-up exercises and kihon (basics), with careful explanations throughout. It was an extremely valuable time in which participants learned the content of the training practiced during the lifetime of Sosai Masutatsu Oyama, along with his advice, interwoven with stories from that era.

Day 2

The morning consisted of about three hours of ido geiko (moving basics) and kata (focusing on the ura versions of the Pinan kata). In the afternoon, participants practiced other kata and sanbon kumite, bringing the two-day training camp to a close.

For every participant, it was a fruitful training camp in which they faced their own challenges and gained direction for their future training.

The Hamai Group Training Camp is held every year. Once the date and venue of the next camp are decided, we will announce them in News.
